Disability Support Organisation

Our History

Real Community Services was established in January 2006 as a labour hire service to Non-Government Services Providers in the Disability Sector. Trevor Green, Company Director, continues to be actively involved in its strategic and operational management.

In 2007 Real Community Services (RCS) gained certification as a Service Provider governed by the Queensland Disability Service Standards now the Human Services Quality Framework. RCS continues to grow with clients being supported from Brisbane’s Northern Suburbs to Sunshine Coast, out to Alexandra Hills and West to Ipswich.

Early 2010 we commenced delivering coordinated services under individualized grants – now known as RCS Lifestyle Support (Disability and Mental Health)

2011 saw the official commencement of our tailored Acquired Brain Injury Support. Utilising the broad industry knowledge of Jeanette Brown (Service Manager), this service provides a very specialized and unique support to people who have an acquired brain injury

2012 RCS was approved to deliver supports under the Transport Accident Commission and WorkSafe Victoria funding scheme

In 2014, RCS was approved to deliver supports under the funding model of Your Life Your Choice. This program was the Department of Community Service (Disability Services) transition model of support which allowed clients to become more independent in their ability to manage their supports prior to NDIS.

Late 2015, RCS became an approved provider of supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

2016 RCS continues to hold certification under the Human Services Quality Framework with our auditing body BSI Global

2017 RCS was nominated for the Telstra Business Awards.
