At times you may require staff on an ‘as soon as possible’ basis, or there may be more flexibility for selecting appropriate staff through contracts (locum roles) and permanent placement.

Real Community Services specialises in the recruitment of temporary, permanent and contract (locum) staffing needs in the human services industry. We aim to complement and strengthen service providers’ care of their clients with qualified, experienced staff 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Areas covered include:

Staff Types & Duties

Support Workers, Personal Carers and Community Linking Staff. Duties can include (but are not limited to) meal preparation, in-home support, personal care, respite and social support (community linking). Clients supported may have low to high complex support needs.

Key Workers, Case Coordinators, Social Workers, Counselors, Service Coordinators and Managers: Requirements for practice varies between disciplines therefore recruitment is tailored for specific organisational requirements alongside legislative guidelines. Tertiary qualifications are usually considered as a minimum, although some organisations will consider people currently studying.

When requesting a Support Worker for relief work you will need to provide the following;

• A client profile detailing the primary support needs of the client. This is best as a ‘client snapshot’ but not the length of an Individual Support Plan;

  • Daily tasks required by the support worker;
  • Date and times of support;
  • An after-hours contact number;
  • A commitment to a safe, managed working environment through risk assessment and consultation.
