Reporting an Incident or Concern

When Commencing Employment with Real Community Services all Staff are provided with an Induction and Orientation to work procedures Handbook.

The RCS Staff Handbook outlines the procedure to follow in the event that a safety issue or incident occurs.

Of most importance is that telephone contact is made with the immediate line manager (or After Hours) FIRST to provide an account of the issue or incident (At times it may be necessary within 15 minutes)

An Incident Report Form is to be used to document the safety issue; however if the work site does not contain any forms (ie., in a clients home), then a written note with the date and staff signature is obtained. All forms (whether Service Provider or Client specific) must be provided to the RCS Office within 24 hours.
